The secret is slowly coming out - Koh Phayam is what Phuket used to be 30 years ago, Krabi and Samui 20 years ago and Koh Lanta just 5 years ago. It is easy for us to use the well-known phrases from the guidebooks, but with crystal clear and turkish water, white sandy b beaches, rain forest and very few tourists - this is definetly paradise.
It takes about 90 minutes by boat to get to Koh Phayam from Ranong Port. You are following the border between Thailand and Myanmar, criss-crossing between several islands before you arrive at the Island.
Almost totally covered by rain forest, you will not find more than a few paths around the island. Hidden from the beaches you will find bungalows and a few resorts.
