Suan Luang - Phuket City
New York has Central Park, Bangkok has Lumpini Park and Phuket City has Suan Luang - an oasis just south of the town centre with tropical trees, plants and flowers.

The main entrance to the park is on Chao Fah East Road, which most people follow when they travel from Rawaii/Chalong/Karon/Kata towards Phuket City.
The park has several lakes, some with fish - others with beautiful lotus flowers. There are running paths through the park where a few hundred people go for a run or a walk at the time of the day when the temperature is cooler.
In the afternoon older Chinese phuketians come to do tai chi and other Asian style exercises. There are also aerobic in the afternoon from 5:30pm until sunset.
