Bang Niang Beach

Koh Phra Thong - the Golden Buddha Island - is located to the South East of Kuraburi. It has mangrove forests and golden sandy beaches. The Island is the habitat of diverse wildelife - birds, turtoises and exotic orchids not found elsewhere.

The beautiful Bang Niang Beach - part of the greater Khao Lak area - stretches for almost two kilometres between two small rivers. The mouth of the Bang Niang a river offers picturesque backdrop at sunset - surrounded by small rocks and a tropical setting.

Swimming is possible from mid November to late April. The beach itself is wide at low tide and narrows down significantly at high tide.
