Phang Nga Province

Phang Nga is a tropical wonderland bordering the Andaman Sea with splendid beaches, limestone formed rocks climbing up from the seas and marine national parks.

Phang Nga is characterized by land and sea and packed with national parks with protects the national scenery with immense different attractions. Phang Nga National Park is a geological wonder filled with islets, sunken caverns and startling rock formations rising from the sea. The shletered bay is ideal to explore by sea canoes most of the year.

 

Further north - 80 kilometers from Phuket - is Khao Lak, a national park full of birds, mammals and scenic waterfalls. The Khao Lak area was hit hard by the 2004 Tsunami, but it has been rebuilt with some of the most impressive hotel developements you can find anywhere in the world.

Khao Lak

Khao Lak Beach has for years been a favorite secret getaway for residents of Phuket. In recent years a number of resorts have been built on this beautiful, but still underdeveloped beach. Khao Lak was hard hit by thje tsunami, but has been rebuilt.

Koh Yao
